Parents and Teachers Association
Hindley Green Community Primary School has an active Parents andTeachers Association (PTA). The PTA encourage parents to get involved in school life raising extra funds for your child's school. The school budget is always stretched in many direction and with recent cuts, allows extra items, trips, resources etc to be purchased.
As a parent of the school you are automatically a member of the PTA. Many parents have particular talents and skills that can be utilised throughout our school, as a regular helper are just a 'one off'. No special qualifications are required other than the willingness to get involved and get hands on! It's always great to find out what parents can offer with the shared interest of making the school a better place for all pupils and families.
Everyone has a role to play! It's completely up to you... Some of our PTA have an active role within the committee who take lead organising/planning events or making decisions on spending the raised funds. Whilst other members offer particular skills for events, helping run events by contributing through participation or attending these organised activities.
Throughout the school year funds are raised through a variety of events such as, coffee mornings, discos, fares, bingo, cake sales etc. events are organised and discussed to help encourage everyone to attend and we are always welcome to new ideas.
